Midland Machine Tool Services Limited can now offer you tramp oil separators in various sizes and using either electrical or pneumatic motor/pumps. These units don’t work like a traditional belt skimmer as they actively draw the oil film on top of the coolant into the unit, pass it through a filter and then through a coalescing filter putting oxygen back into the coolant which minimises bacteria growth. The clean and filtered coolant then returns to tank while the filtered waste oil can then be simply drained out from the unit into a waste oil container.
